I know praying for my students and my classroom is important. I love using the prayer cards to stay focused, especially on mornings when I may feel "too busy" or "too scattered" to pray. Having the card in my hand to focus on gives me a few moments of peace and helps center me on the task at hand---teaching and serving my students. Sometimes during planning periods or lunch breaks, I use the cards that have prayers for myself or my colleagues just to help me refocus during those pivotal points during the day. When it comes down to it, I am a better teacher when I pray. And many times, I feel all over the place in the classroom, so these cards help me pray better.
